Let us introduce: Our new trainees

A good year: This summer eleven apprentices will be joining us. They start on August the 1st, and we too will be breaking new ground with regard to trainings.

Four lathe or cutting machine operators, one industrial mechanic, one mechatronics engineer, two warehouse logistics experts, two chemical production specialists and one dual mechanical engineering student are going to begin. This means that over the duration of the trainings there will be 25 young people in seven occupations present here and they are very mixed bunch: 17 to 23 years old, five of them are from Wilhelmsburg, three are refugees and in the industrial-technical area (Cutting Mechanics), for the first time, a female trainee in the current year. We are a cosmopolitan company and are pleased that our trainees reflect this.

Of course, the prevention of the shortage of skilled workers is also a topic: Plant 2 urgently requires system operators - a need that we want to meet through our training programs. That is also why, for the first time, we have added chemical production specialists training to the list to be positioned better than before.

On the 16th of August, we are going to celebrate the debut of our newcomers with a harbor rally - equipped with walkie-talkies and GPS, all trainees have to solve tasks together, explore the harbour and get to know each other better.

We wish our apprentices much success with us, through the exciting time at the beginning and also the years to come. In 2020 we will be offering apprenticeships. The vacancies will be available shortly on our homepage.
