Our Wheel Materials for industrial and heavy duty castors

PEVOLON®

PEVOLON® is a thermoplastic material based on polyamide which is non-marking, has good chemical resistance, high abrasion resistance, low rolling resistance and a high loading capacity of up to 2 t. The material also has high cold and heat resistance (–40°C to +90°C), while the loading capacity is reduced in temperatures of more than 35°C. PEVOLON® is suitable for use in areas including freezer rooms, wet rooms and cooking rooms, as well as smokehouses.

Areas of application:

  • Food industry
  • Chemicals industry
  • Environmental industry

PAG

Cast polyamide (PAG) has primarily the same excellent physical properties as PEVOLON® and has an extremely high loading capacity (up to 50 t), good chemical resistance, high elasticity, good abrasion resistance, easy processability, low moisture absorption and long service life. The material also has high cold and heat resistance (–40°C to +90°C), while the loading capacity is reduced in temperatures of more than 35°C.

Areas of application:

  • Materials handling
  • Automotive industry
  • Environmental industry

PEVOLON®-ELF

PEVOLON®-ELF is a specially processed thermoplastic material for discharging electrostatic charges and has the same physical properties as PEVOLON®. In contrast to other electrically conductive polyamides and rubber, this is non-marking. The electrical discharge with PEVOLON®-ELF is carried out over the entire wheel or over the entire contact area, where the requirements set by the DIN EN 12527 ff standard for electrical volume resistance are comfortably exceeded.

Areas of application:

  • Operations with a risk of explosion
  • Chemicals industry
  • Pharmaceutical industry
  • Coatings and paint industry
  • Pyrotechnics industry

PEVOLASTIC®

PEVOLASTIC® wheels consist of a PEVOLON® rim with a mechanically non-detachable fixed tread face made of thermoplastic polyurethane. The excellent product properties include non-marking properties, high abrasion resistance, resistance to diluted acids and alkalis as well as mineral greases and oils, and a high loading capacity of up to 1,100 kg. These wheels have a temperature resistance of between –20°C and +80°C.

Areas of application:

  • Chemicals industry
  • Food industry
  • Environmental technology and water-clarifying industry

PEVOTHAN®

PEVOTHAN® is a high-quality processed thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer with excellent properties, such as non-marking properties, high abrasion resistance, good damping power, loading capacities of up to 500 kg and temperature resistance of between –20°C and +80°C. PEVOTHAN® is also widely resistant to diluted acids and alkalis as well as mineral greases and oils. Thanks to these properties, PEVOTHAN® is superior to all normal rubber wheels and is particularly recommended for delicate surfaces.

Areas of application:

  • Delicate surfaces
  • Chemicals industry
  • Food industry
  • Environmental industry

PEVOTHAN®-ELF

PEVOTHAN®-ELF is a specially processed thermoplastic material for discharging electrostatic charges. The electrical discharge is carried out over the entire tread, where the requirements set by the DIN EN 12527 ff standard for electrical volume resistance are comfortably exceeded. PEVOTHAN®-ELF wheels are also non-marking and, thanks to the physical properties of PEVOTHAN®, are particularly recommended in operations with a risk of explosion and with delicate surfaces.

Areas of application:

  • Operations with a risk of explosion and with delicate surfaces
  • Chemicals industry
  • Pharmaceutical industry
  • Coatings and paint industry
  • Pyrotechnics industry

Rubber

In comparison with polyamides and polyurethane, rubber has a higher rolling resistance and is particularly floor saving. Thanks to the variety of qualities and wheel body materials, rubber wheels can be used for a wide range of applications in in-plant transportation. We can offer you solid-rubber and ELASTIC solid-rubber wheels, thermoplastic rubber wheels and wheels with SUPER-ELASTIC tyres and pneumatic tyres.

Areas of application:

  • Materials handling and transport technology
  • Environmental industry
