A new year of training begins

On 01 September this year, 11 motivated young people started their working life with us.

Our young professionals and their families started off with a welcome meeting at the Bürgerhaus building in Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg. After a welcome message from Mr Skowronek (Head of Human Resources), everybody had the chance to get to know one another over breakfast.

Parents, trainers and trainees chatted together in a relaxed atmosphere. Afterwards, the parents said goodbye and the trainees had the chance to familiarise themselves with things in a fun way and get to know their new colleagues. Everybody seemed to feel at ease – the ideal conditions for continuing the RÄDER-VOGEL on-boarding process.

This was quite a day!

The next day, four trainers, our youth and training representative Malina Netz and all of the RÄDER-VOGEL trainees – 35 out of 38 were present – set off to visit the museum ship Cap San Diego in Hamburg in the morning. Many may have already seen it from the outside, but now they had the opportunity to see what it was like on the inside. Our trainees were divided into two groups – one group went below deck to solve mysteries in the escape rooms, while the other group went on a guided tour of the ship with a retired sailor. At noon, everybody came back on deck. All of the participants enjoyed some sunshine with a snack and refreshing drinks.

After returning to Plant 2 at Pollhornbogen in Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg, it was time for our summer party. This provided our new trainees with another opportunity to spend time with their new colleagues in a relaxed setting. This marked the end of an exciting day, full of experiences and information, for our new members.
