High above

What makes nerves flutter, opens up an amazing view of the most beautiful city in the world and runs safely and smoothly, not least thanks to a RAEDER-VOGEL product?

Those who have sometimes strolled around the fun fair also known by many as the “Hamburger Dom”, may already have guessed the answer: the Skyfall ride. With a height of around 80 metres, it was the largest mobile free-fall tower in the world for a long time. There is room for 24 passengers, who are slowly transported to dizzying heights and then hurtle down into the depths - with four times the acceleration of their own body weight. Thanks to contactless magnetic brakes and hydraulic end buffers, the landing is nevertheless gentle.

Safe is safe

Our contribution to Skyfall is the wheel tread material Vulkollan 95, a particularly strong and safe material. Since the core and wheel tread are over-turned, the wheel runs extremely smoothly. Safety always comes first with rides, which is why every wheel undergoes several tests by our quality assurance department before delivery. In addition to daily checks during operation, each wheel is renewed at the start of the season - and the wild ride continues.

Even more free fall

If you want to enjoy a Skyfall with a lot of tradition, you should travel to Vienna. At the Prater, an amusement park that already gave pleasure to young and old in the days of the imperial and royal monarchy, there is another example of the ride - also equipped with our products. For northerners with a head for heights, we recommend Sierksdorf at the Baltic Sea: In the Hansa-park there is Highlander, currently the largest free fall tower in the world with the highest speed - and of course with RAEDER-VOGEL technology.
