Getting active together on the Energieberg
Windy, autumnal and full of team spirit: once again this year, our team members took part in the running event on the Energieberg in Hamburg.
Windy, autumnal and full of team spirit: once again this year, our team members took part in the running event on the Energieberg.
The day got off to a slightly wet start. It was still raining when we arrived at the Energieberg. Just in time for us to pitch our team tent, however, the weather showed its better side and it stayed dry. Despite the strong wind and the distinctly autumnal atmosphere, nobody let it spoil their good mood. There was a great atmosphere at the RV tent all day long, and thanks to the plentiful supply of snacks and drinks, everyone was well refreshed.
For our team, the event kicked off with the second children’s run. Two children of staff members took on the 900-metre route along the Horizontweg and completed it with plenty of motivation and enthusiasm.
Afterwards, it was time for the adults to get active: three staff members lined up at the start of the 5-kilometre run and put their skills to the test.
But that wasn’t all. The challenging 9-kilometre route also found enthusiastic runners amongst our team. The route was no walk in the park: as well as the distance itself, participants had to cope with a downhill section to the information centre and the subsequent climb up the steps back to the top.
With participants in almost all the running distances on offer, our team was very well represented. It was an all-round successful day, which once again demonstrated just how much fun it is to exercise together and share sporting ambition as a team.
